Only Wine Show Debuts
Wine lovers in Johannesburg have a new tasting experience to add to their calendars with the launch of The Only Wine Show, taking place in Bryanston on 18 June 2026.
Presented by Whisky Brother & Co, the team behind the popular Only Whisky Show and Only Spirits Show, the inaugural event shifts the spotlight to fine wines and sparkling champagnes from some of South Africa’s leading producers and international importers.
Guests can expect an extensive tasting journey featuring sparkling wines, champagne, rosé, white and red wines, while engaging directly with winemakers, brand ambassadors and industry experts. The event aims to showcase both established labels and boutique producers, offering visitors an opportunity to discover new favourites and gain deeper insight into the stories behind the wines.
Among the brands already confirmed are Graham Beck, Jordan, Raats, Spier, Waterford, Creation, Benguela Cove, Steenberg, Neethlingshof, Idiom, Laurent-Perrier, Minuty and Veuve du Vernay, alongside dozens of other acclaimed wineries.Organisers say the show is designed for both seasoned wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers, combining education, exploration and social enjoyment in a relaxed setting. Tickets cost R490 a person.
Uitsig Wine Festival
Wine enthusiasts are in for a treat when the Uitsig Wine Fest 2026 uncorks an afternoon of fine wines, food and entertainment at Uitsig Boutique Hotel in Welkom in the Free State on June 27.
The popular festival will bring together more than 17 wine estates from across South Africa, offering visitors the chance to sample a wide range of wines in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Running from noon, the event promises an enjoyable winter outing for both seasoned wine lovers and casual enthusiasts.
Guests can expect live performances by local artists, a variety of food stalls and a family-friendly atmosphere set against the backdrop of the boutique hotel’s picturesque grounds. While wine tasting takes centre stage, organisers have ensured there is plenty to keep non-drinkers and younger family members entertained.
