Motoring enthusiasts should not be blamed for feeling like a mosquito in a nudist camp when they descend on the Kyalami International racing circuit for the Festival of. Motoring, FOM 2025 starting on Friday, August 29, up to Sunday:,August 31.
With so much to offer, a visit to FOM 2025 guarantees – whether indulging in premium hospitality, a hot lap around the Kyalami track, the symphony of F1- type cars – a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, and pure motoring magic.
FOM has grown to be the largest industry supported auto show in South Africa and on the continent.
Since it’s inception, it has been fueled by the vision to create a vibrant automotive community where industry titans, passionate Motoring enthusiasts and those searching for ther dream tides come together for action-packed thrills and fun. And it has not disappointed. Like the elephant it is, FOM 2025 cannot be eaten all in one bite. Which is why for easy bites and a seamless experience, organizers have created several zones – Green, yellow, blue. Red – where visitors can go for different spine-tingling thrills
Take the Green Zone for example . This is said to be the heart of the festival where all the action excitement unfolds. This is where you get opportunity to lay your bum into the passenger seat of iconic supercars, as well as new and old OEM ( original equipment manufacturers) cars, and conquer the legendary Kyalami track.
A BMW M3 hot lap is also a part of the package, where you can experiences the true essence of pure motoring excitement of thr legendary M3 for a lap experience built to thrill. Known for its balance and performance and precise handling, the BMW M3 delivers a visceral experience.
For the faint hearted, seating on the touch lines can witness breathtaking demonstrations that showcases the raw power and precision of the latest automotive marvels. Organizers expect over 10 000 test drives piloted by pro drivers will be conducted over the three event days.
Minimum requirement for track experience is 1,2 m height and 15 years of age. Move over to the Blue Zo and this is where you will witnes all the action especially tailored for 4×4 enthusiasts in their 4×4 course. You will learn how to conquer challenging terrains, navigate through obstacles, and witness the capabilities of the rugged and versatile built to tackle any terrain machines.
No auto show will be complete without a Formula 1 demonstration, which in the case of FOM2025 back by popular demand, where you can immerse yourself in the symphony of F1-type cars as they rev their engines and unleash their raw power. – the thunderous melodies that can only come from these high-powered machines.
For the nostalgic, there is also the Galleria. a vibrant hub which houses a remarkable showcase of exhibitors, bringing together the. best in the industry. Item 18 has also been catered for, wit a hub of delectable food and entertainment.
For ease of traffic, there is a free shuttle service from Park and Ride facility located at nearby Mall of Africa.
