DStv Delicious Festival organisers have announced renowned R&B icons Janet Jackson and Jill Scott as the official headliners for this year’s festival.

Jackson and Scott are expected to captivate massive crowds with their soulful performances and classic hits.

The event organisers made the announcement on Tuesday. Jackson brought her “Janet Jackson Number Ones Up Close and Personal Tour” in South Africa back in 2011.

Jackson, who has had 10 United States Number One hits, and estimated global record sales of 100 million, has recently been focusing on her family after having a son in 2017 with her husband, Wissam Al Mana.

The festival, set to take place at Kyalami Grand Pix Circuit (Johannesburg) on September 21 and 22, will include a star-studded line-up of South African artists including Sjava, Thandiswa Mazwai, Soweto Gospel Choir, and more.

The DStv Delicious Fest has become a staple on the South African entertainment calendar, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse musical acts. The festival organisers say the event will continue to unite people of all cultures and backgrounds through the enjoyment of music, art, fashion, and great food.

This year’s event is expected to continue to provide a fun experience for the local and global fans, with more food and beverage offerings from Africa and some of the world’s best music acts. It also coincides with this year’s commemoration of  30 years of democracy.

Tickets for the festival are now available via Ticketmaster. General Admission tickets are priced at R1 050 each, offering access to all the performances and festival activities.
