The Nelson Mandela Foundation held a critical dialogue entitled ‘What Does This Moment Call For?’, with opening remarks by South Africa’s Former President, Mr Kgalema Motlanthe this week.

In the 10th year that marks the commemoration of Madiba’s passing, the magnitude of challenges often feels overwhelming and hard to make sense of, which in turn makes determining the action required unclear.

Panellists included Nontando Zintle Ngamlana, Executive Director at Afesis-corplan, Aubrey Matshiqi, independent Political Analyst, and Sithembile Mbete, Senior Lecturer at University of Pretoria as well as Tshepo Madlingozi, Director of the Centre for Applied Legal Studies.

To cool things down a bit the nominees for the 2023 Metro FM Awards (MMAs) in South Africa were announced ahead of the awards ceremony at Mbombela Stadium on May 6.

According to Metro FM business manager Kina Nhlengethwa, 900 entries were received, with artists such as K.O, Kabza De Small, Sjava, MOE and Nomfundo Moh receiving the most nominations.
