This year’s Rand Show returns with loads of fun, thrills and rides at its usual home at Nasrec, Johannesburg, from April 17 to 21.
South Africa’s longest consumer and entertainment show is bringing an all-new interactive family experience at Hall 8 included in the price of the entry ticket – promising entertainment, learning, and fun for all ages.
Every year, the Rand Show attracts more than 80 000 visitors every year and the organisers have added new additions on the entertainment list to attract greater crowds. Major attractions include the world’s largest bounce house, a massive inflatable wonderland the size of a soccer field, for both young and old.
Zama Masikane, the Rand Show marketing coordinator, says the Mama Magic Expo (Hall 7) is one of major additions designed for expecting moms and moms with new babies, including an artificial beach with sand, sea creatures and endless videos of underwater fun. It’s the perfect ocean-inspired escape for little ones, right in the heart of “the Kids Zone”.
There will be an exciting line-up of performances for kiddies featuring Magic Man of Atlanta, Mama Magic, BeeBee the Bee, Dienkie en Doedels and many more. Families can enjoy dazzling magic shows, lively performances and interactive entertainment throughout the day.
The nursery and play zones are specially curated to allow little ones to immerse themselves in creativity, with designated play areas designed for exploration, social interaction, and skill-building activities.
There will also be interactive learning areas where families can engage in hands-on learning activities that encourage curiosity and discovery, making for a truly immersive experience.
For parents, there will be a place to chill in the parent-friendly lounges while keeping beady eyes on their little adventurers.
Another key feature is a SANDF show which has always attracted visitors, with its displays and information kiosk on career opportunities in the army.
Theme park tickets include discounts via TicketPro at R300 for 20 or R500 for 40. Sales will close on April 16.
The Rand Show has been a cornerstone of South Africa’s expo scene for 130 years. It offers businesses the perfect platform to showcase their products and services to a wide audience, from industry professionals to everyday consumers.
The 2025 edition promises to be even bigger and better, featuring entertainment, innovation, and a celebration of South African enterprise.
