FREE-SCORING LIVERPOOL HOSTS MAN CITY
Liverpool must deliver a “complex and complete” performance against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday if they are to have any chance of beating the Premier League champions, manager Juergen Klopp said. Liverpool have scored 20 goals in six games in September, including a 5-I hammering of Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday, but Klopp was reluctant to get carried away his side’s free-scoring form.
“We conceded as well some or a few,” said Klopp of the September run. ’We need a complex and complete performance against them to have a chance only and that’s it.” Liverpool are top of the Premier league with 14 points, one more than City, and Klopp said he expected a tough test.

MORE WINS EXPECTED FROM HAMILTON
Lewis Hamilton could stretch his record tally of race wins to 120 after becoming the first Formula One driver to reach a century, the sport’s managing director Ross Braw said on Monday. The seven-times world champion, who will turn 37 in January, has two more seasons on his Mercedes contract and few doubt he will taste further success.
Two points clear of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at the top of the standings after winning Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix in Sochi, the most successful driver in the history of the sport is not about to let up. “I don’t think we could predict 200 wins, but I think we could certainly predict 20 more from his 100 as he’s still massively competitive and motivated,” said Braw. The Briton’s closest still active rival is ex-Red Bull and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel a four-times champion on 53 wins.

SAO PAULO, Brazil – Brazilian football legend Pele was released from a month-long hospital stay Thursday after having surgery for a colon tumor, but will continue undergoing chemotherapy, his medical team said. Pele, 80, had been receiving treatment at Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo since August 31, after a suspected tumor was detected during routine tests.
Pele, who underwent surgery on September 4, is in “stable” condition, doctors said. The hospital did not use the word “cancer” in its statement and gave no further details on Pele’s chemotherapy, but the treatment is typically used in cancer patients. The results of his biopsy were not made public.
