South African music fans can look forward to a nostalgic autumn as two legendary international acts — Boyz II Men and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell — prepare to light up local stages in May and June 2026.

Organised by Remoakantse Holdings, the award-winning American R&B trio Boyz II Men will perform at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 29 and 30 May, and at GrandWest in Cape Town on 27 May. The group promises a world-class production packed with their timeless 90s hits, including End of the Road, I’ll Make Love to You and On Bended Knee.

Formed in Philadelphia in 1988, Boyz II Men rose to global fame in the early 1990s with their signature blend of soulful ballads and new jack swing. Their breakthrough single End of the Road topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks, setting a record at the time. Chart-toppers such as I’ll Make Love to You and the global smash One Sweet Day further cemented their place in music history.

Widely regarded as the best-selling R&B group of all time, Boyz II Men have won four Grammy Awards, nine American Music Awards and multiple Billboard Music Awards, selling more than 60 million albums worldwide.

Founder member Nathan Morris says the group is eager to return: “We are looking forward to reconnecting with our South African fans. South Africa has always shown us incredible love, and we cannot wait to return and perform.”

Tickets are available through Webtickets and at Pick n Pay stores nationwide, with high demand expected.

Meanwhile, reggae-pop legends UB40 featuring Ali Campbell will tour South Africa in early June. Promoted by Big Concerts, the band will perform at the Durban ICC on 2 June, Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town on 4 June, and SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 6 June.

Founded in Birmingham in 1978, UB40 became global pioneers of reggae-pop, blending socially conscious lyrics with laid-back rhythms. With Ali Campbell’s unmistakable voice leading the charge, the band sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Their reggae interpretations of classics such as Red Red Wine, I Got You Babe (featuring Chrissie Hynde), and (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You became international anthems.

Albums like Signing Off and Labour of Love also earned critical acclaim for addressing themes of unemployment, political struggle and racial unity.

Campbell, who departed from the original UB40 line-up in 2008, continues to perform under UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, honouring the legacy of the late Astro. Fans can expect favourites such as Cherry Oh Baby, Please Don’t Make Me Cry and Kingston Town.

Mastercard cardholders will have access to exclusive presale tickets, with further details available at priceless.com/music.

With two powerhouse acts from the golden era of 90s music heading to local shores, South African audiences are set for a season of soul, reggae and unforgettable live performances
