COMPLEX: Ndlala Mall opening launch to feature acclaimed local artists Zonke Dikana, Vusi Nova

Local musical artists Zonke Dikana and Vusi Nova, together with American R& B singer Donell Jones will headline the entertainment at the opening of the Ndlala Mall.
The event will take place on August 23 in Arcadia, Pretoria. Commenting on Jones’ involvement in the launch, Ndlala said: “It is an honour to have an artist of such a great calibre in the music industry to be the main performer at the opening.” Located in the nightlife district of Pretoria, Ndlala Mall has been developed on the site of the erstwhile Sterland Mall and transformed into a modern mixed-use retail and lifestyle hub.
The mall forms part of the Ndlala Oligarch Hotel and apartment complex.
The new complex is the brainchild of the self-made billionaire entrepreneur who leveraged early independence and education to build a multi-faceted business empire.
Ndlala’s global wealth, bold philanthropic streak, and high-profile marriage – he is the husband of the media personality Lerato Kganyago – makes him one of South Africa’s most talked about figures. Ndlala’s portfolio also incorporates Ndlalayesizwe Real Estate – a leading international company, of which he is the founder and CEO. It has offices in London and the US, branded with the tagline, “Where Heritage Meets the Future.”
The entity includes several developments in Pretoria and Johannesburg, which include Ndlala Dynasty and Seigniory – a residential development in Arcadia, Pretoria.
Another notable property in his stable is 12 on Hillel Villa 7 Spa in Northcliff, Johannesburg. According to information on the development’s website, the landmark is a culmination of renovations undertaken in two separate phases between 2012 and 2024, at a cost of R78 million, turning it into a world-class destination for business, luxury and entertainment. R&B singer Jones hails from Chicago, Illinois. He gained acclaim with his second studio album, Where I Wanna Be, in 1999, and its lead single, U Know What’s Up. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA).
Zonke is an award-winning singer-songwriter-producer who has written and has co-written hits for artists such as TK, Winnie Khumalo and Thebe. He has worked with the likes of Bongo Maffin and Oskido. Nova has evolved into one of the country’s most successful musicians, having chalked up numerous awards and accolades over the years.
