A fun evening to raise funds for charities saw the Weekly SA Mirror crew pitted against staff teams from Gauteng Gambling Board, Krugersdorp News, Hot FM, 91.9 FM and Roodepoort Rekord at Russian roulette and slot machine games at Silver Star Casino in Krugersdorp. Coming fourth behind ultimate winners Gauteng Gambling Board (pictured above), which raised R100 000 for the Krugersdorp Child Welfare, Team SA Weekly Mirror netted R40 000 for the Kagiso-based Polokego Shelter for Abused Women and Children. In total, Silver Star donated R300 000 to West Rand charities chosen by competitors. PHOTOS: Robert Magwaza
