Throngs of Gauteng wine lovers have been flocking to Winex, South Africa’s premier consumer wine show currently taking place at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, since Wednesday. The three-day event boasts a grand showcase of 140 award-winning cellars, smaller boutique brands, a range of artisanal food as well as bespoke accessory suppliers.

STEENBERG GARDEN PARTY
Steenberg Vineyards brings the annual Steenberg Garden Party to be hosted at the beautiful Beechwood Gardens in Sandton on November 16.
Guests will enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the venue’s sprawling gardens, whilst tasting Steenberg wines paired with delectable treats from the harvest table. VERITAS TASTING IN DURBAN
The Durban tasting of the Veritas award-winning wines and brandies takes place at Deloitte offices, Umhlanga Ridge, on November 7.
Veritas is a prestigious wine competition for market-ready wines that annually grants wine aficionados across the country a chance to taste the top winning wines and brandies.
Wine enthusiasts can get themselves ready to experience Veritas double gold and gold medal wines and brandies – all to be tasted under one roof. Veritas is South Africa’s oldest wine show for bottled wines aimed as a guideline for consumers.

After a stint in Cape Town and Durban, the International Spirits & Wine Festival will be held in Johannesburg on November 9.

Whisky Live is the largest one-stop tasting and shopping experience showcasing 200 international and local labels annually.
Celebrating 22 years this year, the show will be hosted at The Firs in Rosebank, Johannesburg from November 7 to 9.
General access tickets afford visitors to the Whisky Live entrance to the tasting hall and includes 18 tasting tokens. They cost R495 via TicketPro. And VIP tickets, costing R1 995 a person, will provide access to exclusive seating and premium service throughout the night. This ticket will include 22 tasting tokens. Top-up stations will be available to purchase more tokens.
Meanwhile general access and masterclass combo tickets, costing R995 a person, will allow access to the tasting hall and a master class and will include 18 tasting tokens.

The SA Gin Society will be hosting the Schweppes Polokwane Gin Festival at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World in the Limpopo town on November 9.
