The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with the University of Cape Town (UCT), has successfully concluded the second edition of the CAF Football Management Executive Programme, marking the milestone with an official graduation ceremony held at UCT on Friday, 30 January.

Now delivered for a second consecutive year, the programme has become a cornerstone of CAF’s long-term strategy to collaborate with leading institutions of higher learning to empower its Member Associations through stronger governance and more effective administration.

A total of 30 participants drawn from CAF’s six Zonal Unions completed the intensive six-month course, designed to equip football administrators with the skills required to navigate the growing complexities of modern football management.

The curriculum combined academic rigour with practical insight, reflecting the evolving demands placed on football institutions across the continent.

Participants engaged deeply with core areas including administration, strategic planning, sponsorship and commercial development, communication, and organisational leadership.

As with the inaugural edition, CAF assembled a distinguished faculty of experienced international speakers and industry experts to guide the learning process.

CAF Director of Member Associations Sarah Mukuna described the initiative as a strategic investment in the future of African football.

“Strong leadership and sound governance are essential to building credible, competitive and sustainable football institutions,” she said.  “Through this programme, CAF is empowering its Member Associations with the skills, knowledge and values required to meet the highest global standards.”

The CAF Football Management Executive Programme forms part of CAF’s broader capacity-building and institutional-strengthening objectives, aimed at creating a well-governed football ecosystem on the continent, underpinned by competent leadership and professional administration.
