By  Sports Reporter

Kaizer Chiefs will be in action against two Tshwane outfits for two league matches in a space of five days when they meet Super[1]Sport United on Saturday in Polokwane, fol[1]lowed by Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday in Johannesburg.

Chiefs continue their hunt for a second win of the year when they welcome SuperSport United who also have struggles of their own, being winless in 10 DStv Premiership matches on the trot.

The match against Matsatsantsa takes place on a special day for South Africa. On 27 April, the country will be celebrating 30 years of democracy. The city of Polokwane will also be hosting a marathon early that morning to commemorate this momentous occasion. Kaizer Chiefs will participate in the marathon on the day.

Both teams go into this weekend’s encounter after losing their previous matches. Chiefs went 1-0 down to Richards Bay in Durban and SuperSport suffered a home defeat at the hands of Chippa United in Pretoria.

Amakhosi are in the unfamiliar position of 10th on the log, with 30 points after 24 games. Matsatsantsa a Pitoli are 5th in the table, with 35 points after 24 matches.

In a late newsflash the blockbuster fixture between Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, scheduled for next Tuesday, 30 April has been moved out by two days. The new date for the match is Thursday, 2 May 2024.

Supporters who have already purchased tickets for the encounter are urged to hold onto them, as they will be deemed valid for Thursday’s game.

Refunds will also be offered to ticket holders who are not able to attend the match as a result of the change.
