NO EVIDENCE OF MAKGOPA AT BUCS

WANTED:Baroka youthful striker a hot property

There is so much twist and turn in the transfer report of Baroka FC goal poacher Evidence ‘’Barnes’’Makgopa. The Bafana-Bafana starlet is rumoured to have signed with Orlando Pirates FC. According to different media reports, it’s believed that the Buccaneers signed the under 23 Olympic star under the nose of Mamelodi Sundowns who also showed much interest in the player.

Pirates were understood to have agreed a loan deal with Makgopa to remain at Baroka for 2021/season. However, when Weekly SA Mirror gave a call to Bakgakga chairman Khurishi Mphahlele late Friday he flatly denied any knowledge of such a deal. ‘’I know nothing about Makgopa moving to Pirates.

“Currently the boy belongs to Baroka and he hasn’t signed anything with any team’’ says Mphahlele. However, speculation is rife that Makgopa is eyeing a move abroad.

With his performance in the DStv premiership and in the national colours, the 21-year-old proved his worth in his Bafana- Bafana debut in a friendly match against Uganda at Orlando Stadium recently, where he scored two brilliant goals.

And at the Olympics games in Tokyo the star player shone like a beacon scoring a beautiful goal against France.Makgopa would now wait for his chance to exploit his talent in the World Cup qualifier in September.
