This year’s Handmade Contemporary Fair,  whose guiding theme was “Where Handmade African Luxury Meets the Future”, was a colourful wonderland in celebration of the rich tapestry of African traditional wear and accessories.

Held at Joburg’s Melrose Arch over three days, it celebrated the nexus of traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation while underscoring the importance of handmade industries in sustaining culture and fostering community prosperity.

With over 100 of the continent’s greatest makers, Johannesburg’s most glamorous crowd was truly spoiled for choice.
