What should have been the start of a new life for Bobbi and Ndumi becomes a day of betrayal, family turmoil and arrest in a dramatic wedding storyline on e.tv’s The Four of Us.
The couple finally reach the altar after fighting to keep their relationship alive in the face of fierce opposition from Bobbi’s family. Their romance has divided the household because Bobbi is walking away from Lethabo, his partner of 16 years, to build a future with Ndumi.
Despite the resistance, Bobbi remains convinced that he has chosen the woman he wants to spend his life with. As the pair prepare to exchange vows, he declares: “Ndumi stole my heart. I’ve made the right choice, and I want to be with her forever.”
That certainty is shattered when Lethabo arrives at the wedding carrying a revelation about Ndumi’s past.
Her unexpected appearance exposes a secret that stuns the guests and forces Bobbi to confront his bride. Ndumi admits the truth, leaving their relationship – and the ceremony itself – hanging by a thread.
The personal crisis unfolds as another threat closes in on the Dhlomo family. Dhlomo Motors is drawn into a scandal involving the sale of stolen vehicles, raising the possibility that members of the family could be arrested.
With the business and the family under pressure, Busani must decide whether to protect the company or prevent his relatives from being pulled deeper into the case. A desperate call then places Bobbi directly in the path of the police.
Overwhelmed by the secret revealed at the altar, the threat to his family and the growing police presence, Bobbi calls off the wedding. The collapse of the ceremony is followed by an even more dramatic blow when officers arrive and arrest him.
